The Waterberg eats well, quietly. There are no queues and very few menus that change with a season, but the produce is exceptional and the portions are honest.

Book ahead at the farm kitchens - most seat under forty and close when the last table leaves.

And do not skip the stalls. The best thing we ate all year cost thirty-five rand and came wrapped in wax paper.
